As the college ushers in a new era with President Clemo, the Alumni Engagement Office is excited to introduce and welcome its new Alumni Board President, Dolores Gaeta Prezyna ’70, ’14. Mrs. Prezyna’s work has focused on reading and literacy, holding roles as a Reading Specialist, Principal in the West Seneca and Frontier School districts, and Adjunct Instructor at Medaille College. She currently is Clinical Supervisor of Student Teaching at SUNY Fredonia and Board President at Reach Academy Charter School in Buffalo.

All of the exciting changes happening on campus has given Mrs. Prezyna an opportunity to reflect on her time at D’Youville both as an undergraduate student, when the college was an all-women’s college and the Moving Up Day Parade and floats were an annual tradition, and later as a doctoral student where she “found the college that had continued to be relevant to the community by providing programs in needed fields.” As Board President, her vision for the Alumni Association is to “provide opportunities for our alumni to assist current students through networking, mentoring, and internships.”

Reunion Weekend and President Clemo's inauguration will take place simultaneously the weekend of September 29-October 1. “Besides the opportunities for reconnecting with former college friends that Red, White and You Weekend always provides, the inauguration activities will give our alumni the chance to be part of an historical event as D'Youville's new president is inaugurated,” said Board President Prezyna.
