Loyalty Fund Phonathon

Loyalty Fund Phonathon

The Phonathon is a student-driven annual program run by the Loyalty Fund in the Institutional Advancement Office.  Each semester about 30 students are hired and trained to call alumni in order to build relationships and raise money for D’Youville College.  Phonathon runs for most of the fall semester and then begins again in the spring for a few weeks.

Why do students work for Phonathon?

Students work for phonathon for a variety of reasons.  Students love D’Youville and want to help it succeed.  Many of the student callers themselves have been helped through the phonathon dollars raised in the form of scholarships.  It gives the students a meaningful job and chance to give something back to the college.  The students also enjoy speaking with alums, learning about the school’s past and even networking  - as a way to get an internship or job after graduation.

Why do Alumni gift to the Phonathon?

They give for many reasons but most importantly because they want to help current students succeed and to show their appreciation for their alma matter.
