D’Youville softball pitcher, Hannah Norton, was named Allegheny Mountain
Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week after recording a season high
12 strikeouts April 3 at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio.
In
her only start of the week, Norton tossed a complete game against
Franciscan U, yielding five hits and one earned run, with a season high
12 strikeouts to earn her third win of the season.
D’Youville won 11-
1, the captured the nightcap 10-0 to win their first two conference
games of the season and improve their overall record to 6-4.
Third year pitcher Norton is 3-3 on the season and is second among AMCC pitchers with 36 strikeouts in 40.2 innings pitched.
She is a senior chiropractic student and a native of Wyoming, N.Y.
