BUFFALO - D’Youville College will hold a Centennial Community Picnic on Saturday, September 13 from 11:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Prospect Avenue, which will be closed between Porter and Connecticut Streets.
“It is to celebrate with the community D’Youville’s 100 years as a West Side college and mainstay of the neighborhood,” said Patricia Van Dyke, director of major and planned gifts at the college and who is coordinating the event.
The picnic is open to the public and the $5 admission fee includes two hot dogs, a snack and drink lunch, popcorn, and cotton candy, carousel and inflatable rides, games, and prizes. There will be a dunk tank at 10 cents a throw to benefit Campus Ministry and Community Outreach Projects, according to Van Dyke.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
