What is Annual Giving?

Annual giving is just that: gifts to the college that are made — and spent — within one fiscal or budget year.

The Annual Fund, known as the D’Youville College Loyalty Fund helps to bridge the gap between revenue generated by tuition and the cost of providing a high quality education for our students.  As a private institution the college is tuition-driven. Each year, the Loyalty Fund helps to offset the general operating costs of the college. Gifts to the Loyalty Fund help the college maintain a high standard of excellence by:

1. Providing student scholarships
2. Providing innovative programs.
3. Addressing student and community needs.
4. Keeping pace with new technology.
5. Enhancing campus facilities.
6. Assuring small class sizes.
7. Supporting athletic and co-curricular activities.

Why Give to the D’Youville College Loyalty Fund?

D’Youville College provides its students with a solid academic, social, spiritual, and professional development in programs that emphasize leadership and service.  Gifts to the D’Youville College Loyalty Fund will enhance the total education experience and prepare its graduates to contribute to the world community and to lead compassionate, productive and responsible lives. All contributions to the D’Youville College Loyalty Fund provide an immediate and visible benefit to our students.

Why are Unrestricted Gifts Important?

These gifts are not allocated to any special department, program or person, but instead are "unrestricted." Gifts go where the needs are greatest. Unrestricted gifts give the College the flexibility to address needs as they arise and to respond quickly to challenges and opportunities.

How are funds raised?

Alumni, employees, Trustees, friends, businesses, and foundations all contribute to the college. Their generosity and commitment makes a real difference in the lives of thousands of students. Gifts are made through our direct mail appeal, alumni phonathon, special events, and grant applications and planned gifts.

Ways to give…

1. Call the Institutional Advancement Office at (716) 829-7803 today with your donation, or donate online.
2. Double or triple your gift if your employer is a matching gift company.
3. Include D’Youville College in your financial and estate plans with a planned gift which will provide future support for the College and may result in substantial tax savings for you and your family.
4. Donate a gift-in-kind of property or services which will contribute to the health of the College.
5. Volunteer your time for one of our special events or phonathons.
